June already and it is feeling like summer! The lake is almost to summer pool and it is time for boating! Gardens are in, the crops are growing and recently the Real Estate market is picking up. Although the market is down nationally we have not suffered the same slow down that most areas have. February and March saw 62 sales of residential property and 20 vacant land sales in Bonner and Boundary Counties according the the Selkirk Association of Realtors MLS. Those numbers stayed consistant at 62 residential and 21 vacant land sales in April and May but, there are currently 83 Residential sales pending and 38 pending sales of vacant land, that is good news!
Lisa Gerber wrote a great article on local Real Estate in the summer edition of the Sandpoint Magazine, calling Sandpoint’s market a “bright spot in the national picture.” It gives a more in-depth report on the market. Let me know if you would like to read it and I will send it to you!
