Summer is here! The 4th of July was an amazingly beautiful day to be on a lake! Summer is a special time here in the mountains with early North East sunrises and late North West sunsets the days are long and warm. We get to admire beautiful water all the time but it is only warm enough to swim for a few short months, so make the most of it! Go outside and play!

I took this photo at about 3000 feet of elevation by USFS Rd 2295 just north of Clark Fork on 7-9-09, the berries are plentiful, ripe, and sweet!

Ride your Bike!
The converted railway bridges and tunnels of the Hiawatha Trail make this a fun family bike trip! You can ride the trail up and down or shuttle up for an easier ride. The trail is located not far from Lookout Pass just off of Interstate-90 near the Montana/Idaho border.
