September is here, the kids are back to school, the days are getting shorter, the nights are getting cooler and we are thinking about what projects we hope to finish before winter! Erika turned 12 and Great Grandma Helene will celebrate her 98th birthday this month. “Grandma Helene the Berry Queen” was a member of the Sandpoint Farmers Market for many years; known for her blueberries and African violets. Can you see a family resemblance is that smile?
Three Tom Turkeys caught foraging beneath pine trees for the last of the summer grasshoppers and fanning their tail feathers to impress the nearby hens.

Tom can’t stop smiling while he zips through the trees on his mountain bike. Farragut State Park has great bike trails for all abilities from challenging rocky shore line track along the lake to smooth, level, winding singletrack through the pines. Fun for the whole family!
